TRS Custom Drums EXCLUSIVE Custom Craft Shells

 These EXCLUSIVE TRS Custom Drums shells feature 9 ply ’A’ Grade North American Maple with a Vertical Grain Maple Exterior and a single ply Interior VERTICAL grain of Mahogany.  These shells offer the classic Response and Timbre of Maple, but has the added lower fundimental and warmth of Mahogany.  These shells also come standard with the Custom 5 Step Sealing process for added tonal consistency.

Hello, and thanks for your interest in TRS Custom Drums.  We are a full Custom Drum Manufacturer and Vintage Drum Restoration shop.  We are one of Canada’s longest continually running drum builders.  We’ve been manufacturing, customizing, repairing, and servicing drums for 25 years… now that’s a long time!  We are completely dedicated to crafting true custom kits, and snares, with true custom features.   We don’t do the ‘pre-fab’ thing of buying pre-cut shells and assembling.  We love the work we do, stand behind our craftsmanship, and take our responsiblity of creating great sounding drums very seriously.  All work is done in house, to our exacting standards.   We can design any kit you can imagine… from classic sizes, finishes, and hardware…  to custom powder coating, unorthodox sizes and finishes.

We are an authorized drum service center for Pearl, Sonor, Premier, Yamaha, DW, and Gretsch.  We can pretty much fix anything, find or remanufacture parts, and refinish anything.

So how have we managed to stay around for the last 25 years?   We simply build excellent drums.   Our dedication has always been to a supieror sounding drum, a beautiful finish, and hand crafted workmanship.  It’s never been about being the biggest, or next drum flavour of the month.  We’ve sailed low under the radar for years building a loyal following of extremely happy and dedicated drummers and collectors. 

This year though is a year of change as we introduce many new custom features.  We now offer our own custom configured Vertical Grain Maple / Mahogany drum shells, custom exotic wood finishes, hand crafted segmented shells, and custom hand made wood hoops.  These are all truly CUSTOM shells that are only available from us at TRS Custom Drums.

CNS Video  – Someday

Check out the new video from CNS (Central Nervous System)… Featuring KSG on a Beautifully Crafted Savant Series kit – 18 x 18″ Bass Drum, 6x 10″ tom, and 10 x 14″ Floor.  The matching Snare Drum is a 6 x13″.   All drums feature the ‘Wide Aztec’ Inlays in a Custom Walnut Burst Finish.  The drums also feature all Maple hoops in a matching  finished.   The Bass Drum is equiped with the Kelly Shu internal micing bracket that suspends the kick drum mic in the center of the drum.  Special thanks too to Evans heads, and Yamaha for the custom rack system.

25 Years in the Making — 100 Years in the Growing!!

Yup… we’ve turned 25 years young… seems like we’re now getting to be one of Canada’s longest running Custom Drum Manufacturers!!

So…. in honour of that new milestone, we’re offering a limited run of 100 Year Old Maple segmented Snare Drums with Maple Wood Badges.  We will also be offering a limited run of 1 Ply Steam Bent versions of the same 100 Year Old Maple!

We sourced out the tree… we cut it down… and we had it milled.  We then had it slowly kiln dried for over 4 month’s to insure proper wood moisture content and consistency… and, are now processing and cutting the wood for steam bending and creating the segmented shells!!

It seems we’re going to create complete kits as well as we’ve gotten many requests for these!!
