A TRS Custom Drum kit consists of 100% North American Hard Rock Maple shells. These shells have been hand selected for their tonal qualities and visual appeal. Toms utilize 6 ply cross-laminated maple shells with NO reinforcement hoops. Larger shells and floor toms consist of 8 ply shells, and bass drums are 10 ply. Snare drum shells will vary in make up and sizes. Thinner 6 ply maple shells resonate exceptionally well to produce excellent warm, round tones. They are also capable of excellent dynamics and sensitivity, and have a very wide tuning range. The 8 ply maple shells are also exceptional as they accentuate the mid range frequencies and add the clarity and punch that is needed for larger drums to cut through. Bass drum shells have amazing attack and low end punch when using the 10 ply shells…and super low round and warm tones when using the 6 ply and 8 ply shells.
